Recruitment Profile
Educational Qualifications:

• Essential: Completion of secondary education with training in Human Resources Management, Personnel Management, Public Administration.
• Desirable: First University Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or Public Administration.

Experience:

• Essential: At least 10 years’ experience Human Resources Management in the INGO, private sector or Government.
• Desirable: Relevant experience in the UN Agencies and/or NGOs is an advantage.

Functional Knowledge and Skills:-

• Ability to acquire sound knowledge of WHO rules, regulations and procedures especially regarding recruitments

• Ability to develop and maintain good relations with people of different nationalities at various levels.

Languages:

• English: Expert Knowledge
• Other Considerations: (e.g. Physical Workplace Condition, if other than normal office environment; IT Skills; etc.)
• Computer literacy especially proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel supplemented by GSM and reporting writing skills.

• Desirable: Formal qualification in public health. Courses in communication techniques such asgraphic design, visual language and in the use of social media

Experience:
Essential:

• At least five years’ related experience in communication and/or advocacy, part of which supporting humanitarian emergency or health outbreak response and recovery activities.
• Proven experience in writing advocacy documents and in the production of communication material.

Desirable:

• Prior working experience withWHO/UN or with an international non governmental organization.
• Experience inorganizing advocacy campaigns. Experience in managing publishing processes.

Skills:

• Proven skills in the development and implementation of communication/media productsand tactics;
• Excellent interpersonal skills complemented by the ability to conceptualize ideas and advocate consensus;Excellent presentation skills;
• Abilityto “think out of the box” and to make innovative proposals as relatedto communication;
• Knowledge or understanding of WHO mandate and goals.

Remuneration
